I Thank You God for still giving me health condition to still join Micro Teaching Class and could see my friend's presentation again.
I'm so glad to enter the classroom that day, the day was so nice. The sky was so clearly blue. Even tough I was little bit to late.

That was supposed to be 4 of my friends that do the presentation. But one of presenter was absent that day. Yeah, That was Rita. But is okay, the show must go on right?

At first, was Ratna Palupi (Fivit). Fivit taught us about Force in Natural Science. She made the class so fun and interesting with attracted us to sing and dance together. She brought some props that related with the characteristic of force, such as : ball (to proved that force can make things move), jelly (to proved that force can change the shape of things), and etc. Fivit did the job well, and i like it.

Second, was Maryanne. She taught about the way to invite friend using communication tools (hand phone). At the beginning she shows us a video, the video showed one of my friends that did the conversation using hand phone. At first I didn't understand what is the point. But after Mary explain the subject matter, I could understand clearly. At the end of the lesson, she gave us a task to made some conversation that must related with the theme (asking or inviting friend using hand phone). And I'm so surprised  with the props that she made by her self (some cute hand phone). She was so creative to had an idea to made the replica of hand phone. And surprisingly I got one of the hand phone from her. Thank you so much Marry.

And the last was Frasben, Frasben taught about Pancasila in Civic Education. I think Frasben did his job good enough. I knew that he tried to did the presentation well. But I think he must speak louder in front of the class, because I didn't felt his energy and passion in teaching. He looks so sleepy or tired, maybe he had a lot of work the night before the presentation day. But overall he proved that he had responsibility to complete his assignment rather than someone who cannot do his/her job on time.

March 22nd

Yihaaiiiii..... alhamdulillah I still can join Micro Teaching Class on that day, God is very nice to me and us.
Okay, There were 3 (again) of my friends that did presentation. Yessy, Lia, and Vita.
I'm sorry that I had little bit too late in class (again). It was because my pregnancy condition that made me little bit hard to walk faster. hehehehehe....

So the class was started with Yessy's presentation. She taught about globalization in Civic Education. At the beginning of the lesson she gave us (as student) one question that supposed to be related with the theme of the lesson (globalization) then I tried to answer that, but unfortunately my answer was wrong and not related with the theme. So I got very-very shy on that time. But after that one of my friend could answer it correctly. Umm, I think Yessy must gave a clearly instruction so we as a student can guest the theme (globalization) and then can answer a question that related to it. But Yessy still can taught interestingly with gave us some challenging task.

Second, was Edy Aprilia (Lia). She taught us about Human Digestion in Natural Science. I thought Lia has incorrectly structure in giving the tittle. But don't worry Lia could covered that with some variation way on teaching. At the beginning, she shows us the video that told about the journey/ process food enter our body (digestion) and I like when she pause the video and explained the description to the student. An then she gave some task to be divided into some group. And we tried to do the task then come forward to explain the answer to other student.
And overall, I am very surprised, Lia did her job well. She wasn't look so nervous at all. So stunning, She so confidence. We as a candidate of teacher must imitate her personality.

And the last, was Vita. But unfortunately, I cannot join Vita's presentation because I've got an appointment with my doctor. I had to check my baby's condition on that time.
But, I heard that Vita did her job well. Like I guest long long time ago before she did the presentation. I thought she has a good performance on teaching, because she smart and professional.

Generally , I thank you for all my friends that always support me, to still keep going to join Micro Teaching Class. Hopefully I can enter the Micro Teaching Class till the end of meeting.

March 15th

There was 3 of my friends are supposed to be do the presentation on that day.
But only Veronica and Yunita who end up doing their job.

That day I was a little bit late to enter micro teaching class. When I entered the classroom, lessons were already started. Veronica (Nica) taught natural science at the time. At the beginning  I was a little confused because Nica brought such material using English language with a little hard to understand. But can Nica can covered that with variation of the interesting and fun task. And she gave a rewards for student who can answer the task correctly. Such a good teacher, I thought.

And the second was Yunita, Yunita is a diligent person in the class. It seen when she teaches us in the class. She  taught about alphabet in Bahasa Indonesia on that day. She Shows us the video that related with Alphabet, and she played the video not only once but more than twice. We were so happy at that time. And felt like we were back again on the time when we still in the elementary class. I think learning and playing are two things that very good to be combined.

So, my comment is : Good Job for Veronica and Yunita. Congratulation for you all.

Good afternoon my friends......

I really enjoyed all three of my friend's presentation yesterday. They have done their job well.
The First presenter is Raygharteus (Theo)
Theo told about personal and family documents. at the beginning, he shows us an unpredictable apreseption. We really shocked at that time. But the lesson was done interestingly with his little role play. He played as a police that force us (student) to show our identity card to proof that we aren't a terrorist. But maybe his costume little bit confused us, because he wore black jacket, hat, and he covered his mouth with something like a real terrorist. But by the way, I like his presentation. Very creative, and he can  delivered the material using English language well.

The second, is Suci Cahyati.
Although she's small but she has a great confidence. She has a good personality, stay calm when she teach us as a student. The material is photosynthesis, can be taught well by using video. The video was very interesting. Shown us some cartoon that describe about how plant make their own food. That really good for children. I Like that.


And The last but not least, is Betty Yuniarti.
She's such an active person, full of spirit. That seems from the way she teach.  Although Mr.Steve said that she must improve her English skill, but she can did the job well. I know she did her best yesterday. She tried to make the lesson very interesting. And that's can be proved. Student are very enjoyed the lesson she brought. I am as a student felt very happy in her class yesterday. She teach us about Clock and time and gave us, one by one, some interesting props that she made by her self. Really  good teacher. stand up applause for her.

first of all, I congratulate to three of my friends. Nia, Intan, and Erick. 
They have done their job well. They are very creative in bringing the subjects they teach.
What is not, because from the beginning to the end of the lesson, I am still keep to listen to the material they teach. Especially Nia and Intan. They all look very happy in teaching. applause for them.

Well, I have a suggestion to my friends who have not  presenting the lesson yet.

Children want teachers to be smart professionals. They want to be taught by someone they trust, firstly to deliver the subject, and secondly to be able to listen to and deal with any of their problems (and there will be lots of these). They do not want more "friends", or judgmental, arrogant authority figures who ignore them. As a form and subject teacher you must above all be fair, in control, and easily approachable. It is a difficult juggling act to get all these qualities at first and virtually everyone desperately wants to be liked. The barriers between you and the pupils will eventually come down - but it takes time for you to earn their trust and for them to earn your respect!

feels happy after finished my presentation yesterday Thursday. Honestly, I felt little bit nervous when I imagined the situation of the class. The class may be crowded, stuffy and hot. But I was surprised after arriving at the micro teaching lab. The class was so relaxing, and very reliable as a place to teach.I felt  a little confused at the beginning I start the lesson, because the situation was very quiet. It was my technically  mistake when I start the lesson, I opened the without clearly instruction or direction, so all my friends were confused too. hahahaha
but so far I can finished my presentation well ( I thought)  at that time.I can saw it, because all my friends (student) wanted to hear my folktale (because my lesson is about folktale).


So thank you for all suggestion that given to me, that's will remind me to do better and better than before.

first of all I would like to congratulate Wahyu,Windhi, and Rini. They have been doing their job successfully.
I found many new things when looking at the way they teach.
such a unique way of teaching them.
but give me lots of comments and suggestions on them after they finished the presentation.
I want to apologize in advance. hehehehe
I am afraid, what if later I was treated the same when I finished teaching in front of friends. But, despite it all we are not far from mistake, isn't it?

Okay, next Thursday its my turn to teach in front of friends. I will do my best, I will prepare some teaching support tools, like props or maybe you have any idea for me please?????.hehhe
and if in the way I teach, there are still many shortcomings or mistaken, I beg you to give advice and criticism. I will deal it with as wise as possible.
So,  Don't be hesitate to judge me, if there is any strength or weaknesses. From that we will learn the best.

assignment 2

My first experience teaching in small groups of micro teaching class on 9 February 2012, of course I am nervous and anxious if I have enough capability in teaching. At first it easy to give orders to a small class (small groups) as a way for me to make the ground rules as the rules and routines that apply at the time of the learning takes place. Then after a long time, I doubt, after seeing one of my friends pay less attention to the lessons that I bring. Does the way I teach is boring? Or is there a misconception in understanding the material I bring? But then I think about how to relieve the tedium of the student (friends in a group) or to attract their attention. Thus, out of ideas so that they concentrate on the lesson again. I brought the subject in a tone that is rather entertaining, with attention focused on the students.

Subject that I teach are the Indonesian Language, with the reading material (folktale). Then I read these tales with a loud voice, so that students are enthusiastic in listening to a folk tale story that I bring. And finally I can finish my 15 minutes to teach to the maximum. But of course I was less than perfect in teaching, at that time.

For another chance, I will be more focus in setting things up again in teaching. Whether in a mental or in a teaching material. Because it is very important that the preparation of a solid support quality in teaching. I should be better prepared and more creative in teaching the next target that is taught in large groups. For example, maybe I will prepare some media to teach.  Of course in the teaching I have to improve my performance in the ability to:

1.       Skills for asking.

2.       Skills for producing reinforcement.

3.       Skills for providing variation.

4.       Skills for explaining.

5.       Skills for guiding discussion in small group.

6.       Skills for managing classroom.

7.       Skills for opening and closing the lesson.

8.       Skills for creating a small group discussions and individual.
   Because that the materials we get in the micro teaching class Amnestied by Mr. Steve.

Assignment for Micro Teaching

First of all, when I heard about Micro Teaching, I imagined about the way to teach. The way we 'act' and do in front of the class. I realized that to become a good teacher we must prepare our self to had good personality, knowledgeable and good performance.

This is the picture that describe about Micro Teaching itself.







 

As we know, micro teaching start with teacher make lesson plan/ plan "What am I going to do, what am I going to say" as a Teacher. Then we practice it on teaching in front of the class. After we teach, make sure we get the feedback from the student. Then we can Re-doing all this stuff in the different time.

"Micro Teaching is organized practice teaching. The goal is to give instructors confidence, support, and feedback by letting them try out among friends and colleagues a short slice of what they plan to do with their students. Ideally, Micro Teaching sessions take place before the first day of class, and are videotaped for review individually with an experienced teaching consultant. Micro Teaching is a quick, efficient, proven, and fun way to help teachers get off to a strong start."

when I teach, I must have a special technique so that students are interested to learn and get the information about the lesson easily.   I think for the activities of micro teaching, special skills are needed. In fact we can learn about it. So with the Micro Teaching Class in this semester, can improve and develop skills in teaching. Of course with guidance and facilitated by Mr. Steve that can be obtained easily.

I'm sure, after we learn completely about Micro Teaching, there is no more doubt about how to teach.
